Phil Cornwell - One of the masterminds behind shows such as, 'Stella Street' and 'Dead Ringers' has joined us at Yakety Yak!
Phil is a versatile actor and impressionist. He has a flair for quirky vocal characters and well known celebrity voices. Phil first came to the fore as the voice of Gilbert the Alien on ITV's 'Get Fresh' in the late eighties. He then went on to appear in many Comic Strip films and was heard as Mick Jagger and Keith Richards on Steve Wright's Radio One show.
Phil wrote and starred in 4 series of Stella Street with John Sessions, whilst appearing regularly as Dave Clifton in two series of I'm Alan Partridge, also reprising the role in Alpha Papa. He was part of the team in the BBC's satirical show Dead Ringers for 7 series. As well as writing and performing in his own radio series, The Cornwell Estate for Radio 4, where he displayed his versatility as a creator of original characters.
