Naomie Harris stars in 'Black and Blue'

It has been revealed this week that Naomie Harris will star as rookie cop Alicia West in Sony's action-thriller 'Black and Blue', which is set to premier in the UK towards the end of this year. 

Alicia is a brave and caring young police officer who is always willing to work hard and lend support when needed, which in this case is for her co-star Tyrese Gibson, who plays Milo 'Mouse' Jackson. The story follows Alicia after she inadvertently witnesses the murder of a drug dealer at the hands of come corrupts police officers and captures the entire ordeal on her body camera. She then teams up with Milo to make sure the footage falls into the right hands, and stay alive while they're at it. 

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Naomie discusses playing Alicia, commeting how she "thought it was going to be her next-level toughness that was going to be the biggest challenge for me, but it wasn't, actually. It was her vulnerability. Her toughness is a mask". She certainly sounds like a complex character, and we can't wait to see Naomie shine in the role when it comes out later this year.
